Ever wonder where all the scenic backgrounds came from in all those popular movies? They are all beautifully attractive and it will be perfect if you could be physically there and feel the atmosphere. Yes, it is sad to say that most of them are build-up scenes or just a piece of backdrop with effects added on the later stage, but do you know that some do actually exist and they are a legit place hidden around the world!

#1. Game of Thrones

The plants were originally planted by the Stuart family in the eighteen century as the visitors approached the entrance to the Georgian Mansion. It was then chosen as one of the filming locations for Games of Thrones in Season 2.

- Landscapes of the West: Krka National Park, Croatia

The landscapes here in Croatia was featured in the movie as a backdrop for all Seven Kingdom. On the contrary, it is a scenic place with a peaceful atmosphere where you may enjoy the coolness by the streams and waterfalls.

This beautiful and fantastical cave is a natural hot spring where outside of the cave is snow and ice while the water inside the cave can go up to 50°C. The pool is open for a bath but to be safe do check with the locals before going for a dip.

Located at the junction of Great Scotland Yard and Scotland Place, there is a spot where a red phone box is placed where Harry and Mr. Weasley used it as a visitor entrance to enter to the Ministry of Magic in Harry Potter: The Order of Phoenix. Too bad the red box is actually only a prop where it was removed after the filming is done.

Several parts of the castle were used in the filming of Harry Potter. Among them, the outer bailey was used as a place where the flying class with Madam Hooch is conducted while the inner bailey was used to film the place where the students and staff go through their daily activities.

The magnificent Great Hall of Hogwarts is one of the symbols of the movie Harry Potter. It is so grand that all the Potter fans can tell it with just one glance. It is located at Oxford and it is now a famous tourist spot where you will have to pay to visit.

The Snowdon Forest, being one part of the Fangforn forest, it is an open and grassy valley where Gandalf the White is found. Remember to wear a pair of hiking shoes so you could search for the exact spot where the movie is filmed.
